Manchester based importer and distributor of infant/nursery products (pushchairs etc.) seeks an experienced Key Account Manager to join its Sales Department. This is your chance to join a highly successful organisation that is in a period of growth, in what will be an interesting and varied role.

Reporting to the Sales Manager the ideal candidate will have a tenacious and positive approach to work and be able to build strong working relationships quickly. You will have previous account management experience, with excellent influencing and negotiation skills. We are looking for a confident communicator who has a successful background of meeting/exceeding targets and thrives in a challenging environment with the ability to work independently of others

Key Responsibilities

  • To establish and maintain strong client relationships through regular close contact which will include regular face to face meetings, telephone and email communication.
  • Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business.
  • Co-ordinate the provision of online content within time constraints of product launches.
  • Answering client queries and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Visit customers as required.

Essential Requirements

  • A high degree of IT literacy and familiarity with Web-based platforms and their requirements.
  • New business development and key account management skills.
  • Experience of Microsoft packages including Outlook and Excel.
  • Willingness to take initiative whilst remaining accurate, organised and consistent under pressure.
  • 4 years' experience within a sales department.
  • Field sales track record.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
